Experience the randomness of life
The answer to whether life is random or not is currently not unavailable.
But for some reason I haven’t found it yet, so all I can do is to speculate.
As I keep on trotting through life I keep up the habit of asking strangers a bunch of questions. While I train myself to believe that I can do anything I want as long as I set my mind to it – I keep meeting folks twice my age who tells me that “In the end, most things are rather random.” (Read with a mature voice)
And for all I can tell, both ideas are true. Because as it turns out, I can’t set my mind to everything I actually do need and want at the same time. This means that while I’m busy focusing on one or two things, there are many other things occurring simultaneously over which I have little or no control unless I change my focus. So instead of proactively working to manage those things over which I have little or no control, I can merely respond to them as they come along. Remember, multitasking is a myth. Focus – switching, however is not. According to the science of my life. Some are better at it than others.
However, while the answer to the randomness of life eludes me – clarity can be provided on the topic of how we may choose to navigate through it and therefore affect our experience of life.
Since our experience of life is circumstantial, we are wise to do what we can to position ourselves in- or as near as possible to favourable circumstances. This is paraphrased from the idea of putting oneself in the way of opportunity.
What the hell does this mean, you might ask. Shouting out see me, hear me and love me (you bastard)? Yes, and no.
It simply means that you should let the world know what your interests are and be attentive to the opportunities that inevitably comes your way. They either align with your interests or appear to be contrary to them. In the case of the latter they may still lead you to interesting opportunities to enjoy your time on this planet.
For instance, you could put up www.saymynamesaymyname.com and state your interests or you could tell all your friends that you want to become the world’s greatest sous-chef. The important part is letting the universe (we graduated from the world) know what’s up. (Remember, people in your vicinity are a part of the universe. If god comes around and gives you a high five and a job, that’s a bonus.)
So – the conclusion of my speculation is – life is part random and part in your own hands.
But you knew that already.
